Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. (“Sungrow”) is a global leading PV inverter and energy storage system provider with over 515 GW power electronics equipment installed worldwide as of December 2023. Founded in 1997 by University Professor Cao Renxian, Sungrow is a leader in the research and development of solar inverters with the largest dedicated R&D team in the industry and a broad product portfolio offering PV inverter solutions and energy storage systems for utility-scale, commercial & industrial, and residential applications, as well as internationally recognized floating PV plant solutions, NEV driving solutions, EV charging solutions and renewable hydrogen production systems. With a strong 27-year track record in the PV space, Sungrow products power 170+ countries and regions worldwide.

Sungrow possesses a dynamic technical R&D team that represents 40% of the personnel in the Company. The Company has also invested in its own in-house testing center approved by SGS, CSA, and TÜV Rheinland. Sungrow has the world's largest power electronic converters factory, with a global annual production capacity of 330 GW, including 25 GW outside China.

Over 27 Years

We have come such a long way in our 27 years. The concept of solar power was not really considered as a serious power source even as recently as the 1980s. Combined with other forms of regenerative energy sources, solar power is becoming part of the global energy mix. We have been doing our part since 1997.

170 Countries

There are over 190 countries or nations that inhabit the world. We’ve managed to install clean energy plants in 170 of them. That is a good first step towards a cleaner climate, but we still have work to do. After all, we all share the same climate and we all breathe the same air.

Over 515 Gigawatts

In absolute numbers there are 515 GW that are currently deployed by Sungrow globally. This number may sound quite impressive, but compared to worldwide energy consumption we still have room to grow. Our worldwide market share is over 30%, and we will continue to push for a cleaner world, that's a promise.
